power is supplied through the metal connector on the board top. 12vac power. display shows temperature. red/grn led show operating mode, cold = grn, hot = red. this unit controls a pump motor when temp is between cold 40-60f and hot 90-120f. Still have to verify if the bottom gray connector goes to the pump and the pump rating. | ||

First Look at the DeRoyal T600 Hot and Cold Therapy Unit Controller | |
This is a medical device controller, allows the user to apply heat or cold to areas of the body. I bought 6 to experiment with. There is a PIC16F872 chip under the LCD. At this point I have only applied variable DC Power to the controller. Looks like it starts working with as little as 7 volts, the display shows what I assume is a temperature, the LED changes color from Red to Green or Green to Red, as voltage is increased to 11.5v DC the display shows ICE, then if the Temp sensor next to the LED is touched the display incremented up to 86 deg [in Deg F, I assume]. There are 4 solder pads next to the blue Temp sensor that look used, possibly additional Temp sensors? I will add additional info as I experiment further. P.S I have short video of applying power to device; and plan to take some pictures of the PIC16F872. I cut all legs of one side of LCD off and bent it so I can see the Chip & PCB around It. | ||
